Again, this is a simple love poem written back in 1989 when I was in high school. I could stare at you forever And never ever look away Trying to get close to you I don't know what to say Showing what's on my mind isn't easy So I've never told you before While I don't think you see me I will glance at you once more

Here we have a very old and simple love poem from when I was in high school. If I were free for one moment One minor second in time I would know what I do want That I don't want to die Then I would wish to be with you For forever to be And forever I have loved you Yet only now do I see

A Wandering Spirit

This is the first poem I ever wrote at age 14, 20 years ago. There's a 10-letter word Like the wind through the trees When the rain is heard The crashing of waves; The pounding of seas: A land far away as the sun is to me Tears in the clouds drop down from the sky Mirrors reflect it like space from up high Universes cling to it: The stars, the moons, A wandering spirit Yet, when this happens to me, I'm the only one Who happens to be Lonely

**I am a Writer**

I've back dated this before my very first poem written at age 14 (in 1987) so that this appears as the first post, although this was written 2008 Jan 18 when I started this blog. This is my first post on blogger as I typically post my writings on my writing site (or on other writing forums). I doubt this post is going to be too heady or invigorating as I prefer to write about topics other than myself when doing prose pieces (I leave the self-indulgent wallowing for my poems). If you enjoy a lot of poetry sprinkled in with some horror short stories, take a look at future posts. Comments are always welcome provided they aren't advertising. I should warn that I'm a bit blunt. I'd apologize if that might end up coming across as rude or tactless in any of my posts that I do here (or any comments I make), but I prefer honesty whenever possible.
